About Alpha Company Aviation · KVNC Venice, FL
Alpha Company Aviation is a family-run flight school at Venice Municipal Airport on Florida's Gulf Coast. You fly with the same CFI from your first lesson through your checkride, in airplanes maintained by our own A&P shop next door.
Our story
What became Alpha Company Aviation started small at KVNC. One airplane, a short roster of students, and a plain idea: flight training should feel personal. It grew from there. Today the school works out of a hangar at Venice Municipal, with a growing fleet on the line and its own maintenance shop next door.
We're a family-run operation, and the household behind it includes a serving military member. We show up prepared and do the small things right, and we hold the school to that same standard. Faith matters to us and we say so plainly. It never gets in the way of teaching, and it is part of why we keep the standard high.
More aircraft are on the way, and ground school is expanding as our students move up the ratings. Some people just want a first solo. Others want a career in the left seat. Our flight training programs run the whole ladder, and it all starts with a single $199 discovery flight. We fly as members of AOPA and EAA.
What we fly by
These show up in the day-to-day: how a lesson is briefed, how an airplane is signed off, and how we talk to a nervous first-timer on the ramp.

Where you learn
Venice Municipal Airport sits with the Gulf of America to the north and the Intracoastal to the east. Your pattern work happens over the beach, your cross-countries hop between coastal fields, and plenty of lessons end with the sun going down over the water on the way home. The airspace here stays quiet and the Gulf Coast gives you flyable weather most of the year, so you spend more of each lesson building real stick-and-rudder time.
How we train
You stay with the same instructor the whole way, on a schedule that fits your week. That instructor knows where you're solid and where you need another lap around the pattern, so nobody re-teaches what your last lesson already covered.

Different from other schools I'd toured. Calm. Professional. Confident. Felt like a mission, not a sales pitch.
Discovery Flight Visitor
The airplanes are clean, the instructors are sharp, and the values are real. I'd send my own kids here.

Our mission
To train careful, capable pilots. To do it with discipline and faith. To build the kind of place we would want our own kids learning to fly in, right here at KVNC. Excellence. Integrity. The freedom of flight.
Alpha Company Aviation
"They who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles."
Isaiah 40:31The people
This is a family business, and we mean it literally. The same people who own it teach in it, wrench on it, and answer the phone when you call. That is how the family runs the place, and it is why what you read here matches what you find at the hangar.
It also means a real community forms around the airport. Students become friends, first solos get celebrated, and the people who learn to fly here tend to stick around and help the next person do the same. If you want to see it, come out to the hangar or send us a note through the contact page, and we will make time.
